Trouble With Seeing Acrobat Reader Files

Question: There are times when I expect a report to show up while using The BEST of AMERICA web site and nothing appears on my screen.  Can you tell me what the problem is?

Answer:  The Web page may be trying to open up an Acrobat Reader file but is having trouble doing so.  Try making the following change to your Acrobat Reader program.  

Acrobat Reader 4.x or earlier - Start Acrobat Reader then go to File: Preferences:General and then make sure that there is NOT a checkmark next to "Web Page Integration".  In other words, deselect this option.  Now close and restart your Web browser and try to view the files you want again.

Acrobat Reader 5.x or later - Start Acrobat Reader then go to Edit: Preferences: Options and then make sure that there is NOT a checkmark next to "Display PDF in Browser".  In other words, deselect this option.  Now close and restart your Web browser and try to view the files you want again.
